Visual/Text Editor tabs

I have the same issue.

This is still an issue in 4.5.8. Additionally, the venue picker does not appear.

I’m having the same issues with the text editor and venue picker not appearing in 4.5.8.1. I reverted back to version 4.5.6 to get them working again.

I too have had to switch back to 4.5.6. 4.5.10 still has these issues.

Ok, I think I figured where the conflict was on my end by starting with a fresh WordPress install and slowly recreating the conditions of my site.

The tab appears to not work in WordPress Multi-site installations with the “WordPress MU Domain Mapping” plugin installed where a different domain or subdomain is mapped to the specific individual site. (This only happens on any site except the 1st site of the Multi-site installations because you can’t map another domain or subdomain to the 1st site).

To fix it:

“Redirect administration pages to site’s original domain (remote login disabled if this redirect is disabled)” needs to checked on the Domain Mapping setting page of “WordPress MU Domain Mapping” plugin.

I originally unchecked it because the Headway Theme visual editor doesn’t work from the admin panel with it checked.

@danroesser mentioned the “WordPress MU Domain Mapping” plugin as a culprit for their site.

Do all of you also have this plugin enabled? Or do some of you not have that “WordPress MU Domain Mapping” plugin?

If not, can you please answer:

1. Is your site multisite at all?
2. If you do the complete set of conflict-testing steps from this page, and check on the issue after each step in that process, does the issue go away anywhere along the way in that testing?
