• I would like to reduce the image sizes of the thumbnails displayed in the 3 “related posts” displaying under each of my posts (awesome feature!).

The reason is that the resolution of many of the images is too poor, so they don’t look good. They would look fine if they were e.g. 20% smaller.

I could of course go through all my images and make sure they are a proper size, but I would rather not go that way. I would also prefer if the thumbnails were a bit smaller, a middle option between “Visually striking” and plain/no images.

Appreciate if anyone knows what the name of the feature is, so I can find it & change it in the CSS (isn’t that the way to do it?)

    Thanks.

Remember that we’re not familiar with your website so first we need the name of your theme and an example Webpage with the problem.

That makes sense! Thank you for for replying!

I use the Contango theme, and the “related posts” feature is part of the Jetpack plugin “package” (I just realised that).

You can see the problem clearly in this book review: If you look at “Related” under the post (which links to other book reviews), the thumbnail images are grainy because the display size is larger than the original images.

(the images are in this case located on Goodreads, but the same applies to my other posts where the images are located in my media library)

I can opt to not display thumbnail images under “Related”, just the links – but I like the images if they would just be smaller, e.g. with more white space between – so they match the original image size. Also, there is no need for them to be that big.

So I would like to edit/reduce the display size, but I don’t know where – I don’t even know what the feature is called in code, so I don’t know what to look for even if I find out where to look.

Is that related stuff coming from a plugin?

Yes, it is a Jetpack plug-in, part of the big “package” of plug-ins that comes with when installing it.
