Visual Tab is now only showing html !

    Hi guys, we’ve been doing daily updates on our website for some time now, and we have just come accross this problem. My partner who does some of the updates is’nt so good with computers, so I think he’s accidentally done something. Anyways, to the point, when we go to our ‘news’ page, and click on the ‘Visual’ tab on the top right hand side of the editing box, nothing but html shows up. I have tried to cut all of the coding out of the visual view, and then clicked onto ‘html’ and pasted back in, but it still shows onlu html when I click back to the visual tab. Some help would be great!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    thanks mate, deactivating the plugins actually worked, althought I never actually deactivated all of them, left one of them on (was scared I might erase past history). But yea, seemed to have done the trick, funny that it did that as we never installed any new plugins..
