Visual Tab and WP SEO issues w/ identified errors

    Problems: Posts and Pages Editor Panes open on Text Tab and I cannot switch view to Visual Tab. Add Media button doesn’t work. WordPress SEO by Yoast bar shows below post pane but doesn’t open to reveal options.

    I’ve tried many troubleshooting tips including: deactivated plugins, changing to a default theme, doing a manual install of WordPress 3.6 and many other tips found in the support forums, with no resolution.

    I went through script debug and now I have identified errors in Chrome’s JavaScript Console. I do not know what these errors mean or how to fix them. Please advise.

    With the script debug in the config file, errors report as follows from a specific post page:

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Yes, I have tried all of those steps with no resolution. I just retried resetting the plugins folder via FTP and still no change.

    Try adding define('SCRIPT_DEBUG', true);to the bottom of your wp-config.php file (just before the require_once line).

    I’ve tried this with no resolution – but – I had read to enter it above the line (That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging.)
    I just tried it by placing it before the (require_once) line.
    I updated the file on the server, cleared cache and cookies in my browser and … still no resolution. ??

    I’ve tried so many things, I’m losing track. So I tried the above CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS and when I try to login to the /wp-admin I get this error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function nocache_headers() in /home/aboutdam/public_html/brandymillerphotography.com/wp-admin/admin.php on line 32

    Any thoughts?

    Sorry for all the replies. Disregard the last one. It was a line of code I mistakenly deleted. I added it back in, tried the CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS and still nothing.

    Similar problem after updating to version 3.6.1, the Add media button doesn’t work and the tab is blocked on Visual, cannot change to Text.
