Visual subscription confirmation emails and confirmation page

I have enabled ‘visual subscription confirmation emails’ and have created a confirmation page. The confirmation page I have set up reads: “Thanks for subscribing! Thanks for subscribing to Red Bridge Quilts! Yup, we’ve added you to our email list. You’ll hear from us shortly.” However, the email received by the subscriber reads: “Thanks for subscribing! Your email address doesn’t appear in our lists anymore. Sign up again or contact us if this appears to be a mistake.” I have no idea where this change of words is coming from, and it just leads to a loop with the subscriber receiving the same incorrect message. The site I am having issues with is https://redbridgequilts.com. The false page sent to the subscriber is https://redbridgequilts.com/thanks-for-subscribing/?mailpoet_router&endpoint=subscription&action=confirm&data=eyJ0b2tlbiI6IjAxODY4NWZhN2MwODU0YTA3ZThmNGYyMTJhOWYyYTNlIiwiZW1haWwiOiJqaGFja2V0dDIwMDlAZ21haWwuY29tIn0I%20confirm%20my%20subscription!%5B/activation_link%5D
