• I found sb have a similar problem as me but decided to start a new topic as it sounded not quite as the same and was unresolved also:

I have WordPress 2.0.4 installed. In prior WP 2 versions I was always able to toggle between html or WYSIWYG view. I had to go to “users” in the wordpress interface and then there was a checkmark at the bottom saying “use the visual text editor when writing”.
Now it doesn’t matter if I have it unchecked or checked, i will always see the HTML editor when writing a post or page. I cannot switch back to the visual rich text editor anymore. Please help. Thank you.

  • Goto your admin panel…under options find writing…make sure its unchecked there.

what do you exactlt mean? Now under “Users” the option “Use the visual rich editor when writing” is checked.
Under “Options,Writing” the option “Users should use the visual rich editor by default” is checked also.
    Is that what you mean?
I still get only the HTML editor when I write a post.

    What browser are you using?

If Firefox, have you installed any javascript or adblock extensions recently?

I am using the newest stable firefox 1.5.0.6 and I don’t remember installing any new extensions that block javascript or ads. Im not at my own pc now so will check later if by accident any javascript is blocked. I dont think soas I never block that but could that be a problem?
