    Hello there!

I am encountering a problem with the visual portfolio plugin on my website, where the loading process occasionally fails and instead of the intended portfolio display, code becomes visible. This issue has persisted since the initial stages of my website’s development when only the visual portfolio and Elementor plugins were installed, prior to the addition of any other plugins.

Working on WordPress 6.1.1, Astra Theme.

I attach a screenshot of the error:

    Looking forward to your assistance.

    Hey.

I see there is a strange image description added to the image popup data – https://shot.nkdev.info/7Dpz2KRwYktdqC07nQy4. Not sure why this happens. Have you added it manually?

But the main problem here is in the loading Visual Portfolio styles. On your screenshot I see there are no styles loaded at all.

If this happens again, please, look at the browser console to see if there is an error or something helpful. https://balsamiq.com/support/faqs/browserconsole/

    Hello @nko ,

Thanks for your quick response. Given your feedback and the much valued screenshot you shared I discovered that the “code that becomes visible” is actually the code added in the image description. I didn’t add manually neither the code (at image description) nor the pop up setting. Also no problems at the console.

Thanks to your lead, I managed to fix it by editing the Visual Portfolio …/ItemsClickAction/PopUp – Title Source : None & …/ItemsClickAction/PopUp – DescriptionSource: None.
They seem to be set by default (or maybe at my end – don’t think so though) to Item Title & Item Description.

Seems that even if I had set …/ItemsClickAction to URL, your system did not discard the PopUp TitleSource and DescriptionSource values. What I understand as a solution on your end as an update is to discard the changes or set the values to None if PopUp tab is not active.

Furthermore, I din’t get the problem you mentioned about loading the Visual Portfolio style. Tried to search for styles but couldn’t find anything.

As for now the plugin works smoothly. Thanks a lot for your time to help me out and also for developing such an awesome plugin!

    Will definitely recommend!

    Cheers,
    Yannis

    Hey Yannis.

Thank you for the info and for your kind words. Yes, popup data should not output when Click Action is the URL. We have added a task to our developer, this bug will be fixed in the next plugin update.

    Regards, nK.
