    Neve Version: 3.8.6
    WordPress Version: 6.1.5
The visual editor for posts displays an existing post, but when any block is clicked on to edit it, it causes the error “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.”
With all plugins disabled, but still the Neve theme active it still happens. Switching to another theme fixes the issue instantly. Disabling the visual editor also fixes the error, but then I have to post in HTML. Attempted on different web browsers with cleared cache too. It always comes down to the Neve theme. Any help is appreciated.

  • I have the same error. I have disabled all plugins and logged out and in again. My site health is good. What to do?

    Hello @jtknee,

    Thank you for using Neve!

Unfortunately, I couldn’t reproduce the issue in a similar environment. Can you please specify what blocks you are using when the error occurs (a screen recording or some screenshots would also help the troubleshooting)? Besides this, I would also need to know which PHP version you are using.

    Looking forward to your reply,

    Irinel

My current PHP version is: 7.4.33. Would updating that fix it?
Here is a dropbox link to a screen recording.
    Thanks!

    Hi @jtknee,

Thank you for providing more details regarding this! I was still not able to reproduce the issue, so it might be related to your specific environment.

To further troubleshoot this, I recommend you to disable all plugins and see if the issue persists. If it doesn’t, you can reactivate them one by one until you find the conflict. You can easily do this without affecting the users, by using Health check plugin’s troubleshoot mode, so the changes will be visible to you only.

I also recommend you to use the latest WordPress version, because the problem can be related to that also.

If the issue persists, please try to send us screenshots of any console errors that appear. To open?the?console?in Chrome, use this keyboard shortcut: “Cmd + Option + J” (on a Mac) or “Ctrl +Shift +J” (on Windows).

Let us know how it goes,

    Irinel
