Visual Editor Tab Not Loading or Missing

Check your profile if Visual Editor is ticked

and/or clear your browser cache.

Okay about the profile visual editor…It says “Disable the visual editor when writing”…I didn’t tick that.

On the browser…I am using firefox. I clicked on Clear Recent History. And I have the option to delete a number of things but I only ticked the box that says “Cache.” I cleared “Everything” in the cache.

After doing all these…I didn’t see any changes on my site. I still can’t see the visual editor.

My firefox is version 8.0.

My chrome is 15.0.874.121

Same problem on both browsers.

I also use hostgator.

I tried the suggestion by user called “rgivs” on that page.

I deleted the .htaccess file in my wp-includes folder and the visual editor came back.

I wonder what this does in terms of security though for my site.

By the way…I contacted Hostgator as you suggested and they were the one that pointed me to that page.

I love hostgator for their excellent support.

The hostgator support says this is not a security issue. Let’s hope he is right.
