These plugins all seem to have the tracking code header load, but there’s nothing in there to add the onClick code to a link. We use Amazon Affiliate links to monetize sales, but without the ability to track what link was clicked, there’s no good way to see what link was clicked on a page compared to how many people visited a page.

Most of the plugins are for Woocommerce and we’re not using that, just straight up links in a WordPress page.

You can not add “CODE” in visual mode. You MUST edit the page and save it in text edit mode in order for code you enter to stay put- if you switch from one mode to the other it will ALWAYS strip your code. That is how WordPress works.

You either need to create a templated page in your theme that can be populated with the information you need in order for the onclick event to work effectively or you are going to need to use something like visual composer that has a RAW HTML component that will allow you to drop code onto a page from inside of a WordPress page or post.
