• I am running Firefox 2.0.0.1 and I just installed WP 2.1. When I am in the visual editor and I click on link button or add an image button, a popup window opens but nothing is in the window. It is blank and I cannot get the window to close unless I close the entire page and reload. Can anyone help on fixing this?

    1. Clear your browser cache.
    2. Make sure that all the JS files got uploaded to your site correctly.
    3. Make sure you don’t have an adblocker or similar interfering with the page.

These are almost always the problem, because the editor does indeed work in Firefox.

I have the exact same problem. I have already cleared the browser cache, all JS files got uploaded correctly and I don’t have adblocker or similar.
When using FF2 I have this popup problem in the visual editor. If I use IE7 I can’t use the visual editor at all (I get “error in page”, JS error).
I went trough other forums and tried everything that was recommended. It is still not working.
I have tested in two different PCs and two different BLOGs.
    Appreciate any new suggestions.

I am also experiencing this problem, although it never happened before.

I had a similar problem with Firefox’s Visual Editor not displaying in the ‘Edit’ section.

I also have Ad Blocker Plus on Firefox.

Turns out, as soon as I disabled Ad Blocker Plus for my wordpress blog domain, the Visual Editor appeared!

Hope this works out for you.
