Visual editor pasting fonts, didn't used to, can I stop it?

Hi. So the new visual editor has some benefits (uploading photos no longer seems to cause crashes) but one significant downside for me is that it pastes fonts.

I love the fact that the old editor would paste formatting like bold, bullet points, etc, without pasting the default background font from Word/Zoho Docs/Google Docs. This is exactly how it should be – you want to keep your sites house font rather than whatever font was used in Word to write the article in.

I know the new editor has a paste from Word button but it doesn’t paste any formatting – it just pastes plain text, without bullet points, bold, etc.

Is there any way to get it to paste like the old editor did? A site owned by a client on 3.8.3 pastes exactly how I want it.

I’m happy to use a plugin, although I’d prefer a non-plugin solution if possible. If I have to use a plugin can someone recommend one?
