Visual Editor Not working since 3.1 Install

  • My Visual Editor options stopped working once I upgraded to 3.1. I tried the page in Firefox 3.6.14 as well as Internet Explorer 8 – not working. I manually re-uploaded the files in the WP source and still no fix. I also tried the define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false ); option mentioned in the MasterList and nothing.

    In TinyMCE screen, the Visual screen shows only the HTML buttons. If you click HTML, the screen literally shows HTML source with no buttons. Not sure why this is happening but it has put a major crimp on my posting. Please take a look. Thanks!

  • Have you deactivated all plugins, and switched to twentyten theme (just want to make sure the basics are covered)

    Yes, I just tested that… twice… and the result is the same.

    I too would like to see this resolved.

    It may help to list the plugin or theme that you are using.

    In the same boat. besides the visual editor not working i also have the admin top toolbar missing. I checked in my user settings and both of these options are checked off, so I should see them. I have other wordpress sites, and updated them to 3.1, and I’m not having any problems on those sites. I use many of the same plugins across all of the sites also.

    the only difference that i can think of is that the site I’m having issues with is hosted by a different company? any thoughts on that being a possibility?

    I’m having the same problem. Does anyone out there have any ideas???
