Visual editor not working in 3.8.1

    Just upgraded to 3.8.1 and the visual editor and tabs are not working, I only get the text editor as an option.

    I’ve tried manually deleting wp-includes and wp-admin and re-uploading them via ftp but this has not fixed the problem.

    Any ideas anyone? I see I’m not the only one with this problem.

  • Check that the rich text editor isn’t disabled in your profile.

    This might have been the problem! I re-installed WordPress manually and now all is good.

    I also had problems with the media uploader not opening and other elements not behaving correctly, so it might have been another issue as well.
