I am working on a page template using the participants database, and am also using a template for the pdb_record tag passing it the id.

I now have almost all parts working except for the visual editor.
It displays a text area and I can enter content BUT none of the buttons are available all I get is a text area with two tabs that don’t do anything.

I am assuming that I am missing setting the wp_editor settings somehow but cant see how to do that within the context of editing the pdb-record-default.php template file.

Any insight you can give would be most helpful.

The same shortcode works GREAT on pages that use the default template.

sorry can’t send a site link the content is behind a firewall

The plugin uses it’s own templates (such as pdb-record-default.php) that are not WordPress theme templates, so they aren’t available in the visual editor. They are PHP files for defining the layout of the plugin’s output, they are not places for content, so there is no need to edit them in that way.

    Thanks for your help.
Turns out that the problem was in my zeal to scrub the page I was working on I accidentally deleted the call to wp_footer. Put it back in and things work like a champ again.
