I have been beating my head against a wall all day trying to fix this issue. I logged into my site and was going to edit a draft post, only to find out that I cannot see it in the visual editor. It is completely blank and I can’t see any of the text or pictures that are already in there.

I tried deactivating all of my plugins, and that did not help. I have even tried deleting all of my plugins…did not help. I thought it might be a memory issue, and deleted some older posts and pictures that are no longer being used, and that STILL did not fix the issue.

The strange thing is, I can’t view anything from any of my published posts or draft posts in the visual editor, but I can see the code and text in the HTML editor.

I even tried installing Google libraries because I read online that sometimes this plugin helps when the visual editor is not working, and this did not help either.

Please help!!!

Also, try:
– switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
– Checking Javascript errors. Your browser can help you identify JavaScript issues or conflicts. Do you have any Javascript errors in the console when looking at the editor page? – This article can assist you in doing that diagnosis.
– If the above does not help, try Enabling debugging and post the results.

Ok, so none of the above things have worked in fixing the issue. I tried putting a different theme (2015) on my site and still was not able to see anything show up in the visual editor. I installed the Javascript plugin (and Firefox add-on) and that also did not help. I did not see any Javascript errors on the console.

How do I enable debugging on my site?

So I have narrowed my error down to the Tiny MCE plugin. The problem is, I think the plugin has put some code into my .htaccess file because I deleted the plugin and it was still giving me the error.

I then tried re-installing the plugin, and hit f12 to see if there are any error codes that come up. This is what was displayed:

So I have read from several posts that I need to edit something in my .htaccess file in order to fix this issue. Can you please tell me how to fix this now that I know what the problem is?
