Visual Editor Is Acting Buggy

  • When I edit a post in the visual editor the curser will jump to the beginning of the post right in the middle of typing. Also when you paste an image. Sometimes when you attempt to insert a link into the copy, it will do the same and move the whole text and link to the beginning of the post. I have done the deactivate all plugins/change themes/clear all caches troubleshooting routine and nothing fixes it. I reinstalled a fresh copy of wordpress as well. Nothing fixes it. It started on Monday,about 6 days ago. You can copy and paste from notepad and work around it but it driving me crazy. Any ideas on what is causing this?

  • That is definitely weird. Try using another browser and even another computer to rule out something browser-related/computer related.

    tried Firefox and safari…same thing.

    We have 4 editors all located over the US all in different places and eveyone is experiencing the same thing.

    Had everyone clear their cache as well.

    Try switching to the default theme. If that fixes it, it’s a theme issue, most likely.

    If that is the case, it’s possible your site was hacked in some way.
