• Greetings all!

I’ve just upgraded a WordPress install to v3.2.1 and I’ve noticed that I’m still running into this issue.

    Example: https://i.imgur.com/I7NoW.png

As you can see, in the Visual Editor of a new post none of the icons show up, e.g. Bold, Italic, etc.

Does anyone know what the issue is and how I can fix it?

All of the files are owned by apache:apache and the web server is Apache 2.2.15 on CentOS 6 x86_64. I can provide more details if needed. Thanks!

  • I have the same problem.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    so far I’ve

deactivated the plugins – no joy

    switched themes – no joy

When I switch to a plugin editor – Dean’s FCKEditor – it works (icons in the buttons display) but I don’t like the way Dean’s handles images – I’m not inclined to use it.

I’m backing up my site and going to try to replace the wp-admin and wp-includes folders as you suggested.

    What a PIA!

I’m going to try to revert to a previous backup of my site before I screwed it up with the update.

I fixed my site – I went back to v3.1.3.

    I’m good.
