• I recently updated WordPress to 3.7.1 and did a lot of work trying to stop Hostgator from restricting my account due to excess CPU usage. Somehow, in the process I broke the visual editor. I can add tags, add a headline, etc, but I can’t put put any information in the big text field.

If I disable the visual editor in the user profile, I can add or update pages and posts in the text field. But if I have the visual editor turned on, the text field is blank when I try to edit a post, and when trying to add a post I can’t get the cursor to go into the visual tab’s text field, and can’t switch to the text tab.

I disabled all plugins, didn’t help. I switched to Twenty Twelve theme, didn’t help.

    Any ideas?

I see in another thread that CloudFlare can cause this problem. I did turn on CloudFlare, since Hostgator told me it woudl cut down on CPU problems. This is when the Visual Editor problem started. The CloudFlare site was down so I couldn’t contact them for support. I immediately removed my site from their system and deleted the CloudFlare plugin from my site. The Visual Editor still didn’t work.

Is it possible that CloudFlare changed a file somewhere on my site that I could fix with a simple edit?
