In the admin area, edit a page and the visual editor appears to have no content – in fact, the content is there but is white so it doesn’t show up. Switching to the text editor tab and back to the visual editor tab causes it to show up again.

I have a production environment and several dev environments and only my production environment is experiencing this. We have not installed new plugins in the meantime. It just started behaving like this. This is urgent for us bc this is a multi-site install and we have many users who will have no idea what’s going on.

All browsers have problem – clear cache does not help – I can’t just turn all the plugins off because this is a production system.

It seems like this request fell through the cracks. Sorry no one responded before.

If you are still having this issue, have to switched over to the text editor to see if the text is still white there? Is the text color being set via inline html as white?

You might try downloading a fresh copy of WP, and through FTP, overwrite the wp-includes & wp-admin folders in your current install.

So if you overwrite the wp-admin and wp-includes folder it wont overwrite and delete anything other than the original files from the WP install?

Right, wp-admin & wp-includes are the WP core files. wp-content is where your images & media live– don’t overwrite that!

Did you get your white text problem solved?

Yes, we did resolve it and I’m trying to remember….I think it was (what else) a plugin issue with 4.0. Black Studio Tiny MCE Visual Editor widget was causing the problem. I should have resolved this thread
