• Hi,

I have been away from my site for about 2 weeks, I’ve come back to a plethora of problems. I’ve fixed mostly everything, but one problem still persists. My visual editor (when editing posts) does not appear. The ‘disable visual editor’ in my settings is not checked. Any ideas?

    try:
Troubleshooting with your browser: Your browser can help you identify JavaScript issues or conflicts and this article can assist you in doing that diagnosis. This could help identify Visual Editor issues as well.
    – If that does not help, try deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – If that does not help, try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

I’ve enabled script debugging and did not locate an error on the editor page. I’ve tried both Chrome and Firefox.

Deactivating all plugins did not fix the issue, nor has switching to a default theme.

    – If all the above steps failed, try MANUALLY updating. Download WordPress again and unzip it. Access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Please read the Manual Update directions first.
Backup: If you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong. You can never have enough backups!

I’ve manually updated everything, still no visual editor.

It may be worth mentioning that the ‘Trash’ button for posts isn’t working either. Maybe the issues are related?

That’s the same article you linked me in your first post. I’ve tried multiple browsers with no luck. This is getting very irritating as I urgently need this feature back and no fixes seem to be doing the trick.
