I recently acquired and added a new domain to my namecheap account, I installed the latest version of WordPress at the time which was 3.3.1.

The visual editor buttons are blank, the buttons are there, but there are no labels on them. I understand that I am not the only one with this issue, I have read several other threads here and tried all the suggested fixes that I could.

    I have tried

    Changing Themes
Uninstalling and reinstalling via CPanel several times
Swapping between html and visual editor
Have cleared browser cache dozens of times.
Have tried SHIFT reload dozens of times(firefox user)
Have installed the google library plugin and the TinyMCE advanced plugin as suggested.

Edit: I even just now tried a brand new install of google chrome but the exact same issue appears there

And probably a few other things that have been suggested in various threads.

Could use some help, this is a brand new blog but has been dormant for a couple of weeks as it is. I would really like to be able to get it up and running and start adding some posts etc.

Try adding define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false ); to the bottom of your wp-config.php file (just before the require_once line).

Thanks for replying, I had thought that the thread was dead after it fell a few pages back.

I did try your suggestion just now, however it did not do anything.

This is a brand new default install of wordpress atm, no plugings enabled, default theme, no posts besides the standard “hello world” post.

Still haven’t been able to fix this, very frustrating
