    Top checkbox, check it.

Visit Write Post. If looks odd, clear your browser cache (often something like ctrl-F5).

Clearing the cache did the trick.
    Thanks!!!

    Welllll…I guess not.
The images for the visual editor try to load, then they all go away and I just see the vertical lines that are the separators. And the spell check also does not work.

I would probably start by clearing and re-uploading /wp-includes to make sure you got everything the first time around.

    I just found this:
“So, here goes for everybody: Before upgrading check whether your server has the requirements for the new 2.1 version:
    – PHP version 4.2 or greater
    – MySQL version 4.0 or greater”

    My host provides this:
    php = PHP Version 4.3.11
mysql = Client API version 3.23.58

Looks like my PHP is OK but not my MySQL…

    Same problem in IE.
I usually use Firefox but tried it in IE and in IE I got the following error message:
“Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site https://my_domain_name.com/wp-admin/post-new.php operation aborted.”

Doh. Yep, see if the host will upgrade MySQL?

    Thanks!

I upgraded to 2.1 and found my visual editor and code editor not functioning. IE at bottom says “done, but with errors on page.” PHP and MySQL both are more than adequate. I re-upgraded manually with plugins deactivated, including fresh wp-includes, and it’s all the same. Everything else on the write post page works. For some reason I was able to get one post to actually work last night, but I cannot get the text section of the write page to work again. Please help.

zivanet – 2nd post in this topic: tried those yet?

Same on my blog using 2.1.3. It’s broken in Firefox 2.0.0.3 but it works perfect in IE 7.0. Note, I cleared the cache in Firefox several times and played with the option … no change.

Thanks so much! This was driving me insane… it just stopped working yesterday. I updated my profile… it must have unchecked the box when I did that. Wheew. ??

My problem seems to have been with IE 7, or some setting for it or an antivirus setting. I just switched to posting using the Firefox browser and the problem is gone.
