Hi, I’m trying to figure out which element is causing me grief…is it the Visual Editor not fully compatible with Yoast SEO or is it Yoast not fully supporting the Visual Editor.

Yoast’s support pages say the following ‘By default, our plugin does not analyze content that is outside of the main content box of a page or post. Some visual composer developers have modified their code to add compatibility with our plugins while others have not.’

My issue is that all of the content that is written inside of the visual editor is ignored by Yoast’s SEO plugin. I have H2 headings with focus keyword and images with alt text etc but the Yoast SEO flags all of these things up as issues. I’m not sure if that will affect the overall site performance when it comes to trying to rank the page(s) affected (all of them as i am using the widget exclusively throughout the site on a Sydney WordPress theme by AThemes).

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

ps I did try searching the forum for the keyword Yoast prior to writing this however no results are generated, the page just says ‘Loading’ forever.

    Hi @swearbox,
I believe you’re posting in the wrong place. Our plugin does not affect the visual editor functionalities, it just gives you the ability to use it to edit widgets content. This means that our plugin cannot be used directly to edit the content of a page or post. If you use a plugin for your pages/posts that allows you to add widgets inside the content (i.e. Page Builder by SiteOrigin), it will be responsibility of that plugin to interact with Yoast SEO so that it correctly recognizes content.

Hi and thanks for the prompt reply. I do indeed use Page Builder but I thought that because I actually did the content editing within the Visual Editor then that was where the issue was. I’ll hop over to SiteOrigin support and see what they say. Thanks again.
