Visual editor

  • For some reason I can only compose my posts in the HTML editor at the moment. the link to the visual editor is there but when I click on it nothing happens and right clicking does not give me an option to open in new tab/window.

    Not sure what other info is needed, can anyone help me?

  • hi there, have you checked the box in your profile for visual editor to be the default.

    It is set to be the default, which is doubly confusing.

    Hi again, the only time I’ve experienced this problem, with my last version, I had to re-install the wp-admin and wp-includes directories with fresh copies, seemed to work.have you upgraded recently.

    no, havent upgraded since i starterd it, about a month ago.

    how do I reinstall?

    Hi there, I don’t think you will need a full re-install, but not sure what version you are using, but if you have your original copy or download a fresh one, you could try re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes directories, of course not the wp-content, thats your themes and plugins, but worth trying with fresh copies, hopefully your visual editor will return, good luck.
