  • Good idea to do a quick search before posting message, you will get a wealth of information. ??
Search for the “Authimage” plugin that generates a CAPTCHA image that must be entered before each comment is accepted.

Thanks…I managed to find the link to the plugin: https://www.gudlyf.com/index.php?p=376
IMO, that plugin should be incorporated into WP. In this day and age with so much automated spam it seems like a necessity. Plus it would make upgrading easy. ??

I don’t necessarily think that this plugin should be incorporated into WP as there are so many plugins out there that deal with SPAM in one way or another.
Most of them are very easy to install/configure and use, so it would be better to keep this functionality external rather than putting some implementation in WP that doesn’t get maintained/updated ver often.
Plugin writers are more bound to update and maintain their stuff as opposed to WP dev’s who’ve got all of WP to maintain.

    Thanks for the link…..bookmarked. ??

Besides, some of us are none too crazy about asking their readers to enter one more item …. I realize it’s just one thing, but it’s the principle of the matter.
