    Hi,

I’ve been searching for something like this forever- the ability to take any content, specifically now Visual Composer content and place that in a popup. So this is awesome and I am going to upgrade to the bundle too, but…

I just tried the Visual Composer and it’s not working well.
I also have another issue and a Feature Request/Suggestion.
    – I’m using the latest version of Visual Composer and latest version of WordPress.

    Visual Composer Issues:
    1. The Visual Composer editor doesn’t show up on the popup post type for me to edit with Visual Composer.

    2. The popup post type doesn’t show up for me to enable Visual Composer the popups.

    3. So I copied and pasted some Visual Composer shortcodes into the popup content.
    – Popup Maker will show the Visual Composer content but in a buggy way.
    – See a short screencast of what I mean @ https://take.ms/wwvPN
    – I get this result in Google Chrome & Firefox (latest versions)

    4. I really need the custom “Design Options” (background colors, columns colors, padding, margin, etc. to work as well).
    – See screenshot example @ https://take.ms/hBH8y
    – I have some code that can help you support that if you don’t know how. Visual Composer doesn’t support this the last time I checked for supporting custom design options outside of the post id where those custom design options were made. I had a dev create a solution for this though and I can provide you that code if you need.

    General Issues:
    1. The Fixed Position checkbox won’t save for me.
    – I believe the data may be saving but after saving the page refreshes and show this option still unchecked.

    Feature Request/Suggestion:
    1. I would like to specify a custom class to trigger the “close” to close the popup. Along with that I would like to disable the default Close text options. What I would like to achieve is ideal for Visual Composer use. In Visual Composer I can create the popup content I want and give a a custom class to match the custom class to close the popup! This would be great.
    – Make sense what I trying to achieve there?
    – Thoughts?

    Hi,

Just to add too, this is in localdev. I don’t have a live site to check this out. I was just browsing late nite of new popup solutions. But this one is it! I just need the Visual Composer to work.

I figure it is just some issues with Visual Composer latest updates and things they may changed.

    Thanks for listening man!

    Really excited about this plugin!

Oh, to add as well. I tried different settings to test and see if I could get things to work properly. Specifically the assets settings, but I get the same result no matter what different settings I try.

@Noahj Champion – Im at WordCamp Tampa this weekend but let me try to answer at least some of the issues.

Adding the popmake-close class to any element inside the popup and it will trigger close. We are actually adding a new shortcode to create these easily as well.

Disabling the close button can be done by extension(forced interaction) or using CSS #popmake-123 > .popmake-close.

Fixed position is saved but the checkbox is bugged.

I will have to try and get a copy of the latest version of VC. I don’t seem to have it, was using a clients copy for testing. Sounds like something has changed. The latest version added in some stuff that should have enabled the popup post type on the VC settings page.

    Daniel,

Thanks for responding, even in the middle of a party ??

Hope you enjoy it and a lot of things happen for you at WordCamp!!

    – Thanks about the popmake-close class to close the popup. I thought about that afterwards, but because Visual Composer didn’t work out right with the page builder on the page, I didn’t get to try that out. Noted though, sound fair enough.

    – I can send you Visual Composer to test. (just shoot me your email or however you prefer)

    Thanks for listening! Appreciate it.

    Hi,

I’m new to this plugin and see you have a lot of support threads come in!

But I just wanted to ask, do you know when you may get the Visual Composer fix? It is the only way I can start using this plugin and upgrade to its addons.

@Noahj Champion – As you may have guessed support takes up a lot of my time currently. Also sales are just at that point where I can almost hire someone, but not quite there. I will likely be hiring a full time support member by the end of this month which will give me way more time for development of features, bug fixes etc.

I will try to get a patch out today but it will likely be late tonight as there are a couple of issues to address in it.

    @danieliser

    Ha, yes I see.

I will send you the latest VC as it recently updated and it would be better not have to redo something for a newer version that just came out.

I appreciate your response and being able to push something out soon.

    Thanks!

If you haven’t found the ideal person yet to hire, feel free to message me about or vice versa so I know. I’m interested in making sure a plugin like this can go above and beyond, dedicating my time to help the WordPress community, and I’m at the computer all the time.

Thanks again! I’l look out for that update!

@Noahj Champion – I will be accepting applications here shortly. Ideally I am looking for someone that can answer support, make minor patches/bug fixes, assist customers with setup etc. If they have the skills then feature & extension development would be an option as well. Likely looking for a full time distributed worker, 40 hours a week including several checkups during the week to ensure they have what they need to get the job done well.

@danieliser – Ok. Well, just let me know how to that when you are ready.
