I recently updated Visual Composer plug-in and it stopped working.

    What I’ve done so far:
I’ve disabled all other plug-ins – it makes no difference.
Emptied caches and refreshed pages a hundred times – no difference.
Reinstalled the plug in – no difference.
Tried all of the above using Safari, Chrome and Firefox – no difference.
Activated 2015 default theme – Visual Composer works. But when I switch back to Karma Theme it doesn’t.

    The strange part:
If I use a different mac on the same internet connection it still doesn’t work.
BUT if I ask a friend with a pc to log in in THEIR internet connection, they say Visual Composer works fine!

Can anybody help me with this?

I have two other websites running the same theme (Karma theme) and Visual Composer continues to work fine on them both, including with my own internet connection and my Mac.

In case it helps… I opened the error console in Safari (I use a Mac) and it showed the following error:

[Error] Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

I would be very grateful for any help that anyone can offer. Thank you in advance.

    Update:

I’ve just logged in using my android phone.

If I connect using my Wi-Fi connection Visual Composer doesn’t work.

If I connect using the phone network Visual Composer DOES work.

So, at last in part, it is down to my internet connection and didn’t appear to be something Mac related.

Again, if be very grateful for any help.

OK, solution found, which I put here in case it helps anyone else.

I have Cloudflare setup as my CDN for this site. It seems that Cloudflare was breaking the JavaScript for the Visual Composer plug-in.

The solution is to set up a Page Rule in Cloudflare to not cache anything relating to *mywebsite.com/wp-admin* … where mywebsite.com was my website’s url and the asterisks are wild cards so it covers www version url and any characters after wp-admin.

Purge all in Cloudflare. Empty browser cache, and Visual Composer is working fine again.
