    I apologize that I did not see this post sooner, but the picture you have provided is of a different plugin.

    However, to answer your question, there is no way to make the dotted placeholders disappear, as that is part of WordPress’ core functionality. It is a visual indicator to let the end user know that other dashboard widgets can be placed in those areas.

    Oh, boy! You are right! I was wondering why the Dashboard widget had a different design than the one you provided in your screenshots.
    As for the placeholders, they usually disappear if you start moving elements around. ??
