Visual and text areas blank

  • Gulp – whilst the website is up and running fine, I just can’t access any of the editing page areas in my Avett theme.

    I can see the area, which is blank, and can’t even switch between the Visual and the Text alternative sections.

    Issues with the visual editor displaying correctly are usually related to some type of Javascript error, usually caused by a conflict between one or more plugins and/or the active theme.

    To troubleshoot, try temporarily disabling all active plugins. If the issue goes away, you know it’s a plugin. Re-enable each plugin one by one, checking the issue each time, until the issue returns – the last plugin you re-enabled is likely the culprit.

    If disabling all plugins doesn’t clear up the issue, try switching themes temporarily to one of the default themes (twenty*).

    Once you’ve determined the plugin or theme causing the issue, you can contact the author for support, if they provide it, troubleshoot the issue further yourself, or look for an alternative solution.
