Visual and HTML editors open at the same time

  • Does anyone have a similar problem since upgrading to 3.3?
    When Visual editor is selected, both visual and HTML editors are visible
    When HTML editor is selected, only the HTML editor is visible
    In both cases the HTML toolbar sits overlapping the panel beneath and the panel beneath pulls up short, not neatly as before.
    I have a screenshot available – but do not know where or how to put it on the forum ??

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Yes – when this was part of another post I went through a list of doings.
    HOWEVER – and it is a large and hairy however – physically scraping every last bit of data out of the cache finally cured it. No Ctrl-F5 for me, I had to climb in like Dallas in ‘Alien’ and wrestle with it. Thanks for your interest and Merry Christmas
