Visitor views advertisements in order on page change

    Hello!

    I have a very odd specific request from my client, and I’m having problems trying to find something that will fit their needs…

    They have around 20 advertisement images. They used to be able to run these advertisements in order in their old computer application, so that when the user switched “tabs”, the next ad would be displayed in order.

    Now, this doesn’t translate to internet advertising very well, if at all, as thousands of people could view the same page, and essentially get a different ad. But they really REALLY want these advertisements to be displayed on a per visitor basis, and when they visit a new page, the next advertisement in order is displayed. Then it starts over.

    Is this something feasible with your plugin? (Or at all?) I understand this would rely heavily on Cookies and sessions in order to identify the individual visitors and show them appropriate ad slots… But the sessions don’t have to be maintained across days or hours. Just… Visiting session.

    EX:
    Visitor shows up and sees ad #1 on home page (for example, could be any page).
    Visitor moves to blog page, sees ad #2.
    Visitor moves to contact page, sees add #3, etc…

    Visitor goes away for a few hours… Comes back later, and sees ad #1 again.

    … Maybe? ?? Sorry. I’m really having a hard time finding something like this for my client.

    Advanced Ads provides a solution for this rotation behavior. It’s a combination from ad groups and cookies. Please find the approach explained in the manual.
