    I have had a lot of visits in the past 12 hours on my website and suddenly, the visitor maps dashboard stopped showing new visitors. It remained stuck 4-5 hours back. The Live IP reporting of another plugin was showing more than 100 visitors since Visitor Maps stopped counting. I reinstalled the plugin and now it is showing new visitors, but the new visitors are showing towards the bottom rather than the top of the dashboard.

    I did not make any changes to plugins or theme files. Can you kindly assist how to fix this. Here is a screnshot showing how the timing has got jumbled up and is all over the place. Earlier, I used to see the latest time on top. https://prnt.sc/diky6u

  • Hi, just to get some idea of what has happened. How long have you had this plugin running in your site? Was it running well when you where using WordPress 3.6.1? Did this issue begin after you updated to WordPress 4.7?

    I have been using this application for more than 2 years without any problems. I believe that one of our posts became viral and the traffic increased significantly. Since then, this problem started. Even with lower traffic, the plugin was working fine with WordPress 4.7. Only with increased traffic, this became a problem.

    Can you please advise how to delete the Visitor Maps Database Tables completely and then do a completely fresh install.

    Hi, check your WordPress database for any table with with the following name visitor_maps.

    Cleaning up the database table worked. Seems like the plugin got overloaded at 1000 visitors per day for 2 days.

    It would be great to have an option within the dashboard to completely purge or download the previous data.
