Visit and Visitor Not Refreshing

Check your exclusion settings, if you’ve added an IP exclusion, make sure you have included a subnet.

No exclusions…

I have no clue what a subnet is…

Its just strange, after two weeks of working 100% and all of a sudden I cannot see how many visits and visitors I have. Even today it is still stuck at 0.

Check your configuration settings, make sure something hasn’t gone wrong there. Some area’s to check are:

– general settings, make sure visit and visitors are enabled
– access/exclusion settings, check excluded user roles, excluded ip address list

You can also enable “record exclusions” in the “Access/Exclusions” tab to see what hits are getting excluded.

Other than that, check anything else you’ve changed, for example new plugins your added, etc.

You last option will be to uninstall and re-install the plugin and see if that helps.

What I have done and VERY unfortunately had to try (ive tried everything) was to clear all history. It then worked.

I dont understand why it just stopped working though, i only had 200 odd visitors to my site in the past 2 weeks… Its a small number, so why would it need to be reset in order to work?

I’m not sure, did you export the data before you deleted it?

If you did then I could take a look at the data and see if there was some kind of error in it that was causing an issue, otherwise we may never know.

Yes, I exported only the visitors part… Didnt know how to export everything..Wish I did though.

maybe your database was full and when you cleared it space became available again?

It could be space or there could have been some corrupt data that was causing a problem.

If it happens again, export everything and I can take a look at it.

Yes space… Sorry I was talking on two threads both gave answer as space but meant two totally different things.. So I got confused which thread I was replying to…. Lets assume my reply above was a bad joke cos I can’t delete it… And Itay i would check ur database size! ??
