Visibility restriction

    Hi,
    I uploaded a file and set its visibility as private, this happens:
    – if I insert the shortcode in a page, it correctly shows the red banner “No file found”
    – if I type the direct URL, the file is still accessible to anyone, even non-logged users

    Is there something else I need to set up to restrict the file’s visibility?

    For completeness’ sake: my goal is to restrict the file visibility to a specific group of users, how should I do it?

    I tried unsuccessfully to set its visibility as both public and private while allowing a specific group the permission to read it, but it always let anybody with the direct URL access it.

    Hi,

    Currently there is no functionality to restrict a file’s visibility in any way. Maybe in the future.

    Currently the Pro version has a feature that allows you to set a password to a file.
