• I have a multi-author blog Running WP 2.6.5 on an external host.
When navigating in my Admin Panel, every time I open
    – a post for editing
    – a draft for editing
    – a page for editing
I get a virus warning from my Norton anti-virus.
“A recent attempt to attack your computer was blocked”

The offending IP is my own host server.

From what I can ascertain, these are coming from my /wp-includes/ folder – but I have no idea.

I have received reader emails and phone calls in the past about their Trend-Micro client picking up virus warnings when they open up an article for viewing or to read comments – but it has always been with Trend-Micro, never Norton or McAfee or any other product. I have contacted my host and they have “cleaned” up the blog. A few days or weeks go by and then the emails and phone calls start again.

Now my Norton is picking up high-risk warnings. I am concerned about my host suspending my account, as my requests for intervention have been so numerous and frequent. So before I contact them again – I thought I might be able to get some more experienced and better informed input from this forum on what maybe happening and what I can do to correct it.

    thanks.
