virtue theme: mkdir permission denied

    Having issue with virtue theme only. Other themes work ok but do not suit our site.
    At the top of every page appears this message:
    Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: Permission denied in /home11/buildali/public_html/home3/buildali/public_html/wp-content/themes/virtue/themeoptions/inc/class.redux_filesystem.php on line 104

    The error also pops up in various places when managing the site.

    Have tried deleting and reinstalling theme but still not working.

    Did not appear to relate to any updates or changes. Error appeared overnight.

    WordPress v4
    Virtue Theme v2.2.5

    Any help to resolve would be appreciated.

    Found the issue.
    Somehow the UPLOADS folder setting had become corrupted.
    Resetting to the default WP-CONTENT\UPLOADS resolved the problem.

    Hey Spinsys how did you go about resetting to the default Uploads folder?

    It was a while ago but from memory something like the answer from dipali in this
    post

    Was pretty simple in end, just retyped setting, didnt look any different and it started working.
