• Love your themes! But for the first time I have several problems, that I′m unable to solve myself. I use Virtue Theme and Kadence Toolkit. I created new page, named it Projects, set the template to Portfolio Grid and published. Next I created several Portfolio items, each having a gallery and featured image selected.

    1) Those featured images are not aligned properly, but randomly. Some are higher, some are lower, with uneven white space around. I tried all the different column settings and changed image pixels. It did not help. Next I resaved the permalinks. Still no change. I also deleted the Kadence Toolkit plugin and reinstalled it. I deleted the Portfolio page and created a new one. I set the exact same size images as featured images. With no better results.

Additional problem is, that when I hover my mouse near the main menu, Portfolio Items headings appear one by one and they are even clickable (those items are all removed from the menu and should not appear at all).

And the last issue is, I′m unable to get Portfolio categories show on top of the page. I created two categories, but they are not showing anywhere.

    Please help.
    Thank you in advance,
    Sigrid

  • Hello Sigrid,

    1. Can you please post a link to your portfolio so that I can take a look at this?

    2. Also, a link will be helpful here.

    3. I’m not sure how you’re expecting them to display. If you take a look at the free demo, you’ll see that the categories do not display at the top of the portfolio page:

There aren’t really any options for this within the free theme, though the premium does offer a filter for the portfolio page that can organize your posts by category:

    Hi, Kevin.

    Thank you for your reply.

I already found that the images are placed randomly on the page when I choose portfolio type: ALL.
But when I select another type that I created, images are placed correctly. So I worked around this. I created several portfolio pages (selectable from the main menu), each showing only one type of images.

But I would still like to show you what it looks like when the type ALL is selected. I have the maintenance mode active at the moment, I wouldn′t want anyone to see the broken site. But when you reply that you are here, I will send you the link at once.

Actually, the deleted menu items appear also only when type ALL is selected, on the same portfolio page.

Ok, I didn′t understand that it′s not possible with the free theme to create the categories such as with the premium theme.

    Thank you,
    Sigrid

    Hey Sigrid,
If you could post a link that would be very helpful! Or even a screenshot if you’re unable to post a link.
