• Building a landing page for a client that has the Virtue theme installed. I tried to create a new template with the canvas layout and no setting is available.

    There are only two page layouts settings for Virtue, Full width and contained

    I can’t get rid of the header How to fix this?
    Found this code on another thread but it did not do anything. The hosting is Green Geeks. Could it be a server cache issue?

    .page-id-73 header.banner.headerclass {
    display: none;
    }

    Even tried to change the page ID and ran it in both Elementor CSS and Virtue Advance

    The templates can be saved as a template but not in the canvas layout as single posts or single pages. However, if you edit the pages directly without a template the canvas layout will work.

    I thought the last video was pretty clear and I don’t know how much more clear I can make it. Maybe setting up a staging site and inviting you to the party might be the answer?

    Did you see my screen shot from your video?
    When you were working in a template the canvas layout was not selected in the classic editor. I created a local site just for this ticket and I found that if I set the template to canvas in the classic editor for the template for a single post-it worked. I was trying to see if you could do the same.

    Yes, I saw the screenshot and I have tried it in all instances with no luck. When setting the page layout from the core editor it did not work either. In fact, it would revert back to the default layout after I would exit the elementor editor which just confused things even more.

    Please review my previous screen recording

    Hey,
    I just want to affirm I did review your previous recording which is where I got the screenshot from. It seems like we are missing each other on this point.

    “it would revert back to the default layout after I would exit the elementor editor” – this is what I was referring to and why I was trying to explain that when it set this not in elementor but in the actual classic editor screen it worked for me.

    I’m sorry I can’t recreate what you are experiencing but I will be looking into why elementor isn’t saving the post template when using a single post template in the elementor pro builder while inside of elementor.

    All the best.

    Thanks for verifying it on your end but that’s not the case on my end. I have always used the classic editor. It’s the only thing I have used since 2002 and it has always been reliable.

    When I get time I am going to set up a staging site to test it on the same environment. It’s strange that it is happening on this one even though it’s a fresh install.

    So this thread should remain open until solved
