• Building a landing page for a client that has the Virtue theme installed. I tried to create a new template with the canvas layout and no setting is available.

    There are only two page layouts settings for Virtue, Full width and contained

    I can’t get rid of the header How to fix this?
    Found this code on another thread but it did not do anything. The hosting is Green Geeks. Could it be a server cache issue?

    .page-id-73 header.banner.headerclass {
    display: none;
    }

    Even tried to change the page ID and ran it in both Elementor CSS and Virtue Advance

    Hey,
    Virtue Premium has an option for a landing page template, but not free. Is it your homepage that you’re wanting to make the landing page? Do you want the footer hidden as well as the header? If so, this css should do it for you:

    .home header.banner.headerclass {
        display: none;
    }
    .home footer#containerfooter {
        display: none;
    }

    You can paste that into your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings.
    Hope it works for you!

    Best,
    Hannah

    Nope no go, I even have tried the Full Width Templates plugin…no luck

    When I switch to Generate Press and/or Hello themes everything works fine. Funny thing though Virtue was built on the Elementor format I thought. I also contacted them to verify that if it was compatible

    Are you able to temporarily deactivate your maintenance mode plugin so I can take a look at how things are set up?

    Not without making the site (landing page) live. (I am using Elementor btw)

    Without being able to see your site it’s hard to provide accurate css. In Virtue the homepage template will automatically override other page templates. Have you tested this template on other pages outside your homepage?

    Thanks for the help. I’ll ask the site owner if I can give you temp access which shouldn’t be a problem.

    What’s strange is I was able to make it work for the home page but I can’t create a canvas template and/or page without the header and content area showing

    This is with a page template and the second one is a single page template

    This one is even crazier…

    Hey,
    Can you tell me what version of the theme you are using. It appears you have the premium theme so can you contact us through the premium ticket system: https://www.kadencewp.com/premium-support-tickets/

    Yes, I would if I was a premium user but I’m only the guy working with it. The client is the one who bought it. And it’s on a brand new WordPress install

    Virtue Premium Version: 4.9.30

    This is the one in use below
    Virtue – Premium ChildVersion: 1.0.0

    Have you added anything to your child theme?

    No, I haven’t

    ok, I’ve been trying to watch your videos and understand but I’m not follow. For example in the second video you create a page set it as the canvas template and you get a canvas template (no header and footer). Are you wanting something different?
    In the first video you seem to be creating templates under elementor templates which is different from a page.

    Help me understand what you are wanting in the end? If you go to pages > add new and create a new page lets call it landing page, there you set the page template to landing and build the page with elementor. Are you not seeing what you want?

    No, the problem is I cannot create an Elementor canvas single page and/or post template without the header.

    Hopefully, this makes it a little clearer.

    Something strange is happening, the only thing I’m seeing is that even after you save the page template to use canvas when you back out to the classic view of the page the template is still set on default.

    For example, in your video I took a screenshot this is after you’ve set the post template to be canvas in elementor when you come out of the editor look at the bottom right corner, the template is staying at default.

    https://ibb.co/ZJgzv1m

    For some reason when using a “post” template you have to set that in the classic editor.

    Please try and let me know if you are seeing the same thing.

    Yes this is a continuing thing and I have switched themes to Hello and now I am using GP. Both themes have no issues. So I just shut down the Virtue Premium…deactivated the Kadence blocks and disabled Gutenburg. I may be creating more pages and post templates to this site and I don’t have the time to deal with this. The client has given access to Kadence and has forwarded me the info. But when I tried to access the support it rejected me because I don’t have an account.

    Maybe you guys can fix it but I have already launched the page and in the middle of optimizing it. Feel free to jump in at any time.

    I have four other sites I am working on and I don’t have the time to deal with it.

    Hey,
    I’m a little confused by your post but I do want to make sure I’m clear. Can confirm that elementor doesn’t save the canvas template but when you are in the WordPress core editor you can save the canvas template?
