• Hi,

I am having trouble creating a portfolio (I think that is what I want to do – I’m quite a beginner).

I have been working through the instructions on https://www.kadencethemes.com/creating-a-portfolio-page-with-virtue/ to try and make a page which looks somewhat like this https://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue/portfolio/gallery/ . However, I am just not getting there…

I like the simplicity of the above example – I am not concerned whether it has the light box or not – but I do like the simple grid layout of all the photos. My question is – can I do this in the FREE version of the theme. I am setting up a charity website so at this point in time I do not wish to upgrade to a premium version. If I can’t do the above in the free version – what would be the closest thing (method) that I could get away with….

I think part of my confusion may be that the instructions are for both the premium and free versions and I’m not too sure what belongs to what (might be just me!!)

I look forward to hearing from you,

    Many thanks,
    Claire

  • My question is – can I do this in the FREE version of the theme.

The folks to ask that to are the folks who provided this Theme. Unfortunately, this forum cannot support such Themes, and specifically not ones from Commercial Theme Providers (we have no access to them unless we also buy them, which shall generally never occur). Please ask Commercial Vendor on this issue.

have you tried a gallery plugin like envira lite gallery to help with nice photo display?

Ah, unfortunately, Virtue only provides support for those who have a premium theme (I just tried to post a question on their forum but it wouldn’t let me being a ‘free’ user). If anyone else has experience with using Virtue and my question above I would love to hear from you. I’ll also be checking out the recommendations of contentiskey above, but if it is something that I am able to do within Virtue theme I would prefer that (i think!).

    kind regards
