Sorry, I meant remove the slug from Portfolio altogether.

    Hey,
Unfortunately wordpress can’t do this with custom post types. Pages and post are the only ones that don’t need a slug but by default and to keep things from crashing you need a slug for custom post types. I’ve seen some complicated workarounds by editing htaccess files on the server but I can’t/don’t recommend this.

You can always change the slug to something other then portfolio using a custom function in a child theme or if you update to premium there are built in options for this.

So if I update to premium I will easily be able to have it with no slug at all? Also, how would it affect my current child theme and customizations if I were to do that? I adore this Virtue theme and would be happy to pay. Thanks!

    Hey,
No sorry if I’m not being clear. You can’t have a portfolio post without a permalink slug.

Premium lets you easily change that slug but you have to have one.

Updating steps can be found here: https://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#freetopremium

All your content will move just have to transfer the theme options.
