Virtual product link email not always delivering

About an issue that we’re having, the emails with the stream links
aren’t delivering all the time when people purchase rentals of our movies.

So we would definitely like to get the email checked out and make sure
there are no issues. The stream links are all correct, I already checked
the variables for each rental product. People complain they didn’t get an
email with the link after purchasing a movie rental, we asked them if check
their spam folder but they still couldn’t find the email.

So we would love to get that fixed. We are losing considerable sales since
we have to refund people’s money. And we don’t have time to send them the
link manually.

We are wondering if we could in addition to the email being sent after a
purchase, somehow we could send them via a redirect to the streaming link
instantly as well. We think people will be much happier with instant
gratification upon purchasing a rental. However the movies we have listed
are variable products and the redirect would only apply to the rental
variable. The other variable is a purchase which is a shipped DVD, so it
wouldn’t make sense to redirect people that purchase the DVD to a stream
link.

Perhaps we will have to separate the rentals and put them on a separate
page so that we can apply a redirect. The redirect plugins I have tried all
do not work with variable products.
