Viral blog marketing.. building a community to advertise your site?

Recently I made a thread here discussing how we can use the spammers tricks for our own benefit. I also talked about it in my blog.. https://stuffucanuse.com/wordpress/index.php

Spammers advertise on our sites to increase their google ranking and to get the links out into the public more.

Why don’t we work on doing the same things? It obviously works, otherwise we wouldn’t be so inundated with crap.

Why not emulate their theories?
We can link to each other in our blogs, build up communities of people with similar interests.

We can leave nice, friendly comments in each others blogs, if spammers can post crap to advertise, then surely posting quality comments is exactly what the system is made for.

Anyway there isn’t really the set up here to have such a system. In corrospondence with the admin here, they said they need to focus on the issues around getting wordpress up and running and the providing help for the new upgrade.

So where can we create such a community?

I made a new forum on my messageboard. It can be a place where we can advertise our site, link to each other, just build a community that crosses blog system barriers.

So does this idea have legs? Anyone else want to try and build a community? Can we rise above our narcissistic blogging tendancies towards introspection?

I’m down with it. I’m working on 4-6 wordpress-based sites now..
