Vimeo’s URL with privacy setting are not working

    Hi,

    Using vimeo URL’s without the privacy settings allowing only ‘people with the private link‘ to view the video, works fine.
    But with this private setting https://vimeo.com/427027971/5158a1e55b is being used, upon saving the last part is being cut to https://vimeo.com/427027971/.

    In the URL provided, all but 2 video’s are without the privacy setting. The two on the bottom of the page are – and therefor not working.

    What is going on? How can this be fixed?

    I confirm our plugin supports private Vimeo videos. The last part of the URL is actually not necessary and this is the reason our plugin strips it. But, this looks strange and I’ve no idea why your URLs don’t work. Please keep this URL https://vimeo.com/427027971/5158a1e55b with the same privacy settings for sometimes. So, we can use it for our testing purposes. Our next version is coming out tomorrow and I promise that will have this issue addressed. Please be patient.

    I just noticed that you (Mieke Gevers) already have contacted us through our email support for the same issue and we have replied to you asking for some details. Please reply to that email with the details we have requested to further investigate this issue.

    We are able to recreate the issue here.

    The VIMEO private videos used to work fine without the last part of the URL before. But, it looks like the Vimeo API behavior has changed now. So, the complete private URL is required now to play their videos. Our next version coming out tomorrow should solve this issue. Please be patient.
