Vimeo Layer slight delay when clicking play button

    Hello,

    I’ve created a video slider using the Vimeo layer for a client. I noticed that when clicking the play button on the video there is a slight delay (about 2 seconds) and I was wondering if there was a way to possibly shorten the delay?

    Hi @tkapenga!

    The delay you are seeing is, that when you are using a cover image:
    https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1847-vimeo-layer

    then the Vimeo iframe code doesn’t exists on your page, for optimization reasons. When you click the image, that is when our JavaScript code loads that into your page, and this takes time. So if you would like the video to start sooner, don’t use a cover image. That way the Vimeo iframe code will load with your page, and the video can start immidiately.
