Vimeo embeds have disappeared?

    Suddenly all my vimeo films has gone form my posts? I have tried disabling all plugins and swap themes, but no dice. Another site of mine which uses the same theme shows them with no problems. Anybody got a suggestion for a fix?

    Can you provide a link to a post that has that problem? And how did you add those Vimeo video to your posts?

    If you are just using the Vimeo URL to embed them then on one post that’s not working try wrapping the URL with [embed] and [/embed] just to see if it works.

    Yeah sorry, here’s one of the posts https://www.amter.com/live/director-montage-cut/
    I adding them by the media options section and have worked fine up to now. Tried to use the vimeo embed code, which also doesn’t work either. I tried using [embed] too also with no luck. Very strange??

    So far I’ve added it video the media options section. Have now also tried the various embed ways including the one you suggested with no luck

    Try the usual troubleshooting steps:

    – Deactivate all plugins

    – Switch to the Twenty Twelve theme (this is temporary)

    – Clear your browser’s cache and cookies

    – Re-login and edit that post with [embed] … [/embed] and save it.

    – Revisit https://www.amter.com/live/director-montage-cut/

    See if that fixes it. If it does fix it then it may be the theme and/or a plugin interfering with it.

    Don’t know if it’s any help but it must have something to do with javascript as the site renders fine on my iPad and iPhone

    I have found out that if I in Safari ‘Enable JavaScript’ and ‘Disable Java plug-in’, the vimeo embeds shows up as they are supposed to. Any idea of what’s going on?

    Found it! As always the most likely problem is placed about 1-2′ from the computer ?? a pagespeed_module in the .htaccess file was messing with the page. Now back to normal, phew!

    That’s good and partly why many people have a real love/hate relationship with that module. ??
