    Hey guys,

When I upgraded to IA 2.4 and navigated to the Posts screen, the views for every post shows 0.

I set up a staging site and disabled many of the plugins to see if any of them were causing a conflict, but it didn’t change anything.

Here’s a quick video of the issue:

Happy to send you guys a login if that would help troubleshoot. Let me know. Thanks.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for reaching out about this.

This is something we should have explained better. When you first update to 2.4, the views for all the posts will be zero. Once someone visits a post, the view count will get saved in the post meta, and then you’ll see the count in the Posts menu. We did this to avoid any large queries that could cause performance issues on the Posts menu or during the update.

Moving forward, you should see the view counts show up automatically on the production website. Sorry for any concern this caused!

That makes perfect sense as to why I was seeing what I was. The numbers are now appearing, and the data looks to be correct.

Thanks Ben. I appreciate the thought that went into your implementation of this to avoid possible performance issues. Great work as always ??
