• Hello, thanks for the great plugin!

I am writing to determine how I can view private events with the [eo_fullcalendar category=”northeast, southeast, west, chicagosurrounding” users_events=”true”] shortcode. (The users_events parameter doesn’t seem to be working, either – is this a paid feature only?) I am using another plugin, Role Scoper, that determines user viewing privileges, so certain users can view private events. However, the private events don’t show up on the full calendar view at all. These private events don’t even show for the event creator, although I can see the private event listed on their view of a page with [wpuf_dashboard post_type=”event”]. Are you familiar with this issue and do you have a solution or suggestion?

I am using the Twenty-Eleven theme as I had read on your forums that this would be a way to check if the calendar is working correctly.

    Thanks in advance!

I’m sorry, to clarify, the [wpuf_dashboard post_type=”event”] shortcode is a list of events I have created with the WP User Frontend plugin. Thanks!

The users_events events attribute is events the user has booked for. So yes, it’s only available with Pro installed – but doesn’t do what you’d like to do.

The not seeing private events might possible be a cache issue. In which case try these steps:

    1. Log-in as a user who can view private events (e.g. admin)
    2. “Edit” an event (just click update)
    3. View the calendar

If you can now see private events, then it seems it might be a cache issue.

Hi Stephen, Thanks a lot for the speedy response. Unfortunately updating and viewing as an admin didn’t do the trick. I’m not too clear on the cache issue, but I had tried multiple solutions for that possibility, like clearing my cache and viewing as new users and user roles. If it is possible to view private events on the calendar, and does not require an alteration to the plugin code, then I am very curious for the solution…
Could it have anything to do with the version I’m using – 2.8.2?
