• Hi all,

I’m a complete and total novice when it comes to this, so I’m sure I have made an obvious mistake.

I haphazardly changed my permalinks settings from “Default” to “Day and name” while editing a particular post. As a result, when I click on any of the previously published posts (29 in total), which would take me to its individual page, I get the following message: “Hi there. You seem to be lost.
It looks like nothing was found at this location. Perhaps it was there but now it’s gone. Maybe try one of the links below or a search?”

Is there a way to view the posts again or have a made a huge unfixable mistake?

FYI: I’m using the default Reddle theme.

  • What happens when you switch back to the default permalink structure again?
Is the WordPress root .htaccess file being updated correctly?

Maybe even admitting that I’m a “total novice” is giving myself too much credit. It was as simple as clicking the default button. Thanks!

Could I somehow change all of the posts to “Day and name” permalinks?

Do you have an .htaccess file in your root WordPress folder?
